I love to use real stamps on my cards...this card would be great to give as a going away card to someone going to africa....I stamped lots of little images on the little card then added the lion stamp...layered on some map paper...Best Wishes on this Monday challenge!!
Embossing is stamping and then sprinkling emboss powder on and heating so it turns to a raised image..it's fun but messy...I don't usually like it...but now I can emboss an outlined image and then I get to color it!
Took these cats embossed, cut out, colored and put on a card....I kinda like embossing now!!!
I guess this counts as touchy by emotions, my anniversary card to my hubby of 28 years! And touchy that you have to touch it and shake it because there are little hearts and more in the shaker portion!!
Today I had to make a masculine card....so going through saved ideas, I came across a card made to look like a shirt....so I drew a shirt, cut it out twice, cut one in half for the front and got to stamping it up!!
Not too shabby!
Would make a great fathers day card!
Wow, how fun is this?? I was featured in Creative Scrapbooker magazine's blog!
They are a real scrapbook magazine that has been in publish for 11 years now, a real meaty magazine, you remember the kind that you can actually flip the pages and feel the creativity in your hands...you can see the pictures big and bright, not on a little screen of your ipad and phone, as you can tell, I am a big fan of real books and magazines, not a fan of reading all my info on a little electronic screen......anyway, back to my news...
They asked for people to send in where they create, so having a wonderful place to create, I sent my photos in...and TA DA....they picked me, yeah!!! I love my craft room....
Here is the link to this wonderful publication and the blog post I am featured in, make sure to check out the whole site and subscribe if you like to have a real magazine you can hold in your hands and keep for future ideas:
I made a scrapbook page of my cat after he passed away, framed it and hung it in the hallway..I have all our pets scrapbooked and framed this way....You can use embellishments and stamps and more on your page and then frame it, what a great way to remember a special 4 legged family member!
Monday's challenge is Square...so I decided to share my square block I made to take on my scrapbooking trips, it holds my raffle tickets. It has fun photos of me and my sister and Patti from Scrappin-Escapes, also the letter J on top has a clip to hold tickets and name tags, etc...it is very square and very cool!!
To make your own, just paint a block of wood, you can get scrap pieces for free or very cheap at hardware stores, then make tiny scrapbook pages and adhere to the dried block. I found the metal letters with clips at my local craft store. The clip is on the top of the J, sorry it does not show in the photo. Cool little project and they make nice gifts as well!
I got the dies from Simon Says Stamps to make some cute plush ornaments...so much fun. Yes they may take a little time but they are worth it! I got the Deer, fox, elephant and owl.
I watched Nichol Sphor's video on how to make them, I can't wait to make the others!
